Teas, Herbal!

Freshly brewed herbal teas can help your horse transition through seasonal weather changes, and calm unsettled stomachs and nerves -- acting even more quickly than dried herbs because steeped teas can capture the power of an herb's volatile oils. Skode's now offers a variety of high-quality herbal teas that are guaranteed certified organic or human grade. Each recipe, whether singular or mixed by Skode's, can tempt even the fussiest of eaters when poured over and allowed to saturate meals. Steep 1/2 to 1 cup herbs in 1 liter (approximately 1 full tea kettle) of hot water. Allow to cool and serve. Bon appetite!

Teas, Herbal!

"Ah-Choo!" Herbal Mixture
A powerful blend of Certified Organic and Wildcrafted herbs relied upon in traditional and historical use for their anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Formulated by a Master Herbalist at The Herb Shop in Grants Pass, Oregon, this blend was developed when Skode's horse and pony, as well as several other horses were effected by flu-like sytmpoms attributed to a virus traveling through the county where Skode lives. In the case of Skode's horses, this virus had been resistant to anti-biotics. Luckily, "Ah-Choo!" Herbal Mixture is delicious as it includes juicy bits of organic, dried fruit your horse will love. A blend you will be thankful you have when you need it! Sold by the pound. Click on Title Description to view ingredients.

(Virtually any pelleted feed contains the iron from the machinery that processed the pellets!) Iron is an inflammatory and many Insulin Resistant horses are burdened by Iron overload. So the addition of Peppermint is a great way to help protect our horses, especially our sugar sensitive horses prone to inflammatory conditions such as laminitis.
